CHATHAM, NJ — Mayor Tracy Ness recently announced that the Township Committee plans to convene again at the Municipal Building for its future meetings, beginning on June 10.
Ness reported at the last meeting on May 27 and in her Mayor's Message released the same day, that all boards and commissions are planning to also meet in person from now on.
"With the new executive orders issued this past week, I am happy to report that our next township meeting will be fully in person and residents are welcome to attend," Ness said.
As a result of the pandemic, committee meetings were switched to a virtual format, with township committee meetings posted on YouTube, after convening.
Before the pandemic and in the return to face-to-face meetings, Township Committee meetings normally take place every second and fourth Thursday monthly, in the Municipal Building at 7:30 p.m.
"We ask that you remain considerate of others as we ease out of wearing our masks, recognizing that some may not be comfortable doing so," Ness continued.
"Our residents have done a great job getting vaccinated and I know we are all looking forward to some normalcy," she said.
