CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte police have arrested and charged a 34-year-old man who fired at officers while barricaded for hours in a southwest Charlotte apartment Wednesday. Antoine Debold, 34, was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after he peacefully surrendered to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Special Weapons and Tactics Team following a standoff that lasted more than two hours. Debold was initially transported to Atrium Main hospital for evaluation and was later charged with three counts of attempted murder; three counts of assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm; assault on a female; and possession of a firearm by a felon, CMPD said. The standoff began shortly after 1:30 p.m. June 2, when officers responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 13500 block of Little Abbey Lane.
