RIVERHEAD, NY — A group of caring elementary school children showed the community recently that no one is ever too young to create change. Members of the Pulaski Street Elementary School Student Council recently held a successful food drive for those in need, the Riverhead Central School District said. The kids, for two weeks, collected food and ran a media campaign featuring flyers and virtual announcements to promote the cause. Adviser Amelia Estevez Creedon said the students "are very much aware of the needy families in the area and wanted to make a difference."
