Description
Hello friends! I'm Felicia and I'm a 200 hour certified yoga teacher who is currently working on an additional 300 hour certification. I studied under Annie Adamsom in Portland Oregon if you wanna look up her work and teachings :) I also taught yoga at the New Mexico School of Chinese Art and Language for a year back in 2017 and have taken many yoga workshops and studied the work of some of the biggest names in the yoga world such as Doug Keller. Now that everything is slowly starting to open back up I thought it'd be a great opportunity to start a little yoga in the park community. My teachings are for all level students and focused on functional movement and breath work. We spend so much of our day in the frontal plane with our shoulders rolled forward looking at screens, let's get some fluid moving into those tight spaces and joints! One of the best ways to strengthen your immune system is by getting back in touch with your breathing so even if you chose not to participate in the asana's (poses) then I encourage you to take this hour to tune into your lungs and diaphragm. There has never been a more important time to focus on making your immune system stronger than right now! No props needed except for a yoga mat. Since we'll be outside I'd recommend some SPF, water, and maybe a hat. The park that we will be gathering at is called "Grecian Park" and it's located just down the road from 4th and Montano in Los Ranchos, very close to the Smith's grocery store. There will be enough room for everyone to set up 6 feet apart and masks will be optional since we will be outside and observing social distancing. This will be a donation based class so if you can't pay anything right now that's okay. I just want my community to get those bodies moving and make some new connections! If you would like to contribute to my educational costs I will be accepting cash donations of $5 and up. I plan on hosting yoga in the park every Sunday at 9:30 AM so that we beat the heat for the day. If class is cancelled I will post on CL in advance to let my students know but I do not plan on missing any Sundays! I hope to see you bright and early this Sunday June 6th to start off our yoga journey together! with gratitude, Felicia
