Description

UPDATE: I knocked on some doors and it seems like this cat might be a neighborhood cat on the 41st & Sumner block. It followed us 6+ blocks and plopped down in someone's yard in the shade, exhausted and panting from all the walking in the hot sun. It seems content, so I'm going to assume it's "back home", whether that be just a neighborhood, or at a specific person's house. Last night (June 2nd) around 10pm, we came across a cat in the middle of the road near NE 41st & Sumner. After stopping to pet it for a bit, we tried leaving, but the cat followed us all the way home (NE 35th Pl & Emerson). The cat sat outside our door and has been crying/meowing for attention nonstop. It's been at our house over 12 hours at this point. This cat is a black & brown tabby with white patches and yellow eyes. It doesn't look sick. It has a simple rope collar with a bell, but no name tag. I assume this cat has an owner, and I really want to make sure it gets back to where it lives.
