Lloyd Grading & Utilities is currently looking for a 3-4 person utility crew. Foreman, Operator, Pipe Layer, and Laborer. Must be experienced in storm drain, water and sewer utilities. Foreman must have valid drivers license. Will run the site and must be able to perform all duties on site such as (read plans/survey stakes, figure grades/elevations for pipe and structures, operate equipment, set up pipe laser, problem solve in field, take inventory of materials, keep work laid out so job progresses, etc.) Communicate to the crew the plan for the day prior to work beginning. Work to meet daily production goals. Complete all required paperwork (daily project reports, tool box talks, delivery tickets, etc.) and submit to office weekly. Willingness to work hours as required. Lead the safety effort by recognizing and correcting hazards as soon as they are present and being the #1 safety advocate for the crew Operator must be efficient and safe on all equipment including excavator, backhoe, rollers, tamps, etc. Pipe layer must be experienced in laying water, sewer and storm (ductile iron, pvc, clay, rcp, c900, sdr, csp, concrete catch basins, manholes, drop inlets, etc.) Must also be able to grade ditch, make up fittings, read laser, grade stick and target, etc. Laborer must be experienced in general grading/utility construction. Job Type: Full-time with overtime if needed General Responsibilities/Qualifications: Ability to withstand outdoor environment during all times of the year Performs general construction work (to include physical labor i.e. using hand tools, lifting materials (on average up to 50 lbs), etc.) under direction of Foreman or Supervisor Must be able to demonstrate ability to follow directions, produce quality work, maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies Must be able to demonstrate ability to maintain positive working relationships Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour Experience: Underground Utility Foreman: 2-5 years (Required) Operator: 5 years (Preferred) Pipe Crew: 5 years (Preferred) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required by Foreman) Trenching and Excavation Competent Person (Preferred) Confined Space (Preferred) Please email resumes or interest in positions to [email protected] www.lloydgu.com
