Description
On Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Arnie Rutkis and his team with Stone Shovel Designs & Wilcox Nursery, University of Florida/Pinellas County Extension Agent Doris Heitzmann, and Rebecca Wellborn with the Florida Native Plant Society will be hosting a FREE, informal, drop-in Information Session on Elysium's new landscaping using Florida Native Plants. They will be set up under the two live oaks on the east side of Elysium's entry.
Arnie and team will answer any questions you have on the new landscape, identify/show you the plants, discuss the unique attributes of the plants (low/no maintenance, butterfly host plants, salad-worthy!, etc.). Members of the Landscaping Committee will also be there to discuss Elysium's goals (reducing landscape maintenance costs long-term, improving drought tolerance, protecting treescape, etc.) and how the design unfolded.
PLANT SALE ALERT Arnie and his team will also be selling Florida native plants for your own yard if interested and will be sharing expertise on plant choice and other landscape practices that save money yet deliver a positive impact to home values. The Pinellas County Extension Agent Doris Heitzmann will also be speaking about the incredible Florida Friendly Landscaping programs and services available to you as Pinellas County residents.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, June 5th!
