Full-Time Apprentice Building Technician

Job Description Tri-Cal Commercial Investments is currently recruiting a full-time apprentice building technician to assist with the maintaining of a office building in Pasadena, Texas. Ideal candidate will have previous general maintenance experience, excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail. Key Responsibilities • Maintain the general cleanliness of the property, through collecting of trash, sweeping and other routine maintenance items • Respond to tenant calls (on and offsite) assigned by the management office • Complete a daily inspection of the property, documenting any items that need attention and reporting same to building engineer • Communicate with building engineer to discuss daily and weekly priority projects and any areas that need attention • Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc. • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations • Learn to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation), including the management of the energy management system and HVAC units under the guidance of the building engineer • Willingness to attend training meetings with building engineer or other to develop overall knowledge of building maintenance and systems knowledge Requirements • Proven experience as maintenance technician or other similar position • Experience using hand and electrical tools • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings • Very good communication and interpersonal skills • Physical stamina and dexterity • High school diploma or equivalent We offer a competitive salary (commensurate on experience)
