What You'll Do: •Perform a variety of duties in the care and maintenance of water treatment plants, equipment and facilities for the Water department. •Ditch repair and maintenance, irrigate city properties, fence repair, mow, dam maintenance as needed, reservoir releases per order & water rights. •Apply herbicides on weeds safely and accurately; maintain records of chemicals used; eradicate invasive species. •Operate a variety of equipment including weed spraying equipment, power and hand tools, and other specialized maintenance and construction equipment. • Clean and maintain facilities and assigned areas, maintain records related to area of assignment. • Pick up and discard trash. •Utilize proper safety precautions related to all work performed •Assist in maintenance and operations projects depending on work needs such as valve maintenance, meter upgrades, and potholing to identify lead service lines.
