Tulane University, Department of Medicine is conducting a research project on sarcopenia. If you are eligible to participate, you would receive: 1) Free Bone Density Scan (DEXA Scan) 2) Free body composition assessment 3) $120 Walmart/Amazon Gift Card. Compensation for your time and travel is provided for the one-time, 3-hour visit. We will also validate your parking if needed. Eligible Criteria: 1) Whites and Blacks; 2) 60 years of age or older; 3) English-speaking; 4) Over 10 hours overnight fasting. 5) Willing to visit the Center for Biomedical Informatics and Genomics’ clinical recruitment sites for obtaining objective clinical measurements and for the donation of 20ml fasting blood.
