Description

Veteran Drummer exploring the scene to see if there’s anything or anyone of interest out there to make music with. Primary areas of musical interest would be alternative rock, heavy rock, and metal but I do enjoy other styles and would be open to having a discussion on other types of projects as well. I’m open to either an established act who’s missing that final piece of the puzzle or who needs to replace an individual who isn’t quite right for the project and/or creating/building something with a like-minded professional individual(s) who take their craft seriously. I’m available to rehearse 1-2 times per week and practice my instrument daily at home. I’d also be willing to play 1-2 live shows per month at this time. Anything beyond that would depend on the circumstances of the opportunities but I would be willing to have that discussion should the situation come up. A little about me; over 30 years of total playing experience with 15 of those years spent playing at a professional level, considerable touring experience with the majority of my professional playing years averaging over 200 shows per year - every year, experience playing a wide variety of settings including acoustic sets at small pubs and large music festivals enjoyed by thousands, recording and mixing experience with national and well-known industry professionals, experience with national labels including being a signed artist under the Warner Brothers umbrella, formerly endorsed artist with multiple product lines including Evans Drumheads, Audix Microphones, and others, and extensive experience with all facets of being a DIY-project. I chose to retire from bands/projects about ten years ago for a variety of reasons but am now in a place where I’m considering getting back into it all if I can find the right opportunity for myself. During my “retirement” I did continue to play and write on my own and have material that could potentially be used for new original music. WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR; Like-minded professionals who take their craft seriously, rehearse their instruments, care for their instruments, possess reliable gear, individuals who are interested in having a team-based project where we are all in it together and are equal in all ways, individuals who are available to rehearse, write, and play as mentioned above, and individuals who put team first over ego and substance use. Drug use during any band functions outside of alcohol is a deal-breaker for me and alcohol use must be in check and not affect the performance or well-being of the band. Having demos, videos, or recordings of your work is a must and I would be very interested in seeing/hearing those things. I also have plenty of recorded music/demos to share to give you an idea of my capabilities as well which I am happy to send. Please e-mail recordings, demos, and links to videos to the response e-mail via Craig's List. Thank you for reading!
