Welsh Harlequin Duck Breeding Trio

Description

We've decided to stop hatching ducklings (as we just don't have the set up for it) so we are selling our very nice Welsh Harlequin duck breeding trio. The two girls are gold phase, 1-2 and 2-3 years old, purchased last fall at $80 from Holderread as show breeding quality. They generally lay 1-2 eggs daily between the two of them. They are fearful of people probably from lack of contact at the Waterfowl farm, however, they are generally very quiet and get along wonderfully with our other ducks (even our sassy mallard). The girls seem very bonded to the drake and will sit on the other side of the fence if separated. The male is a 1 year old drake from Metzer who has been home hatched and kid-socialized. He eats out of your hand and is a very sweet boy. He is surprisingly respectful of his lady-ducks and rarely needs to be separated for managing him during breeding season (however, some additional females would be beneficial). We have had several hatches from this pairing and they have excellent fertility. Ducklings from this pairing have had distinct, accurate auto-sex traits to date (as is characteristic for the breed). $75. I am looking for farm or large lot placement with pools/pond, and a very safe nighttime coop situation for them. Please tell me about your setup. **They will most likely need to wait until Monday for someone to come get them as I promised someone one last batch of 12-14 hatching eggs.**
