Lithia Body and Paint is looking for a Detailer / Porter TO APPLY USE THIS LINK: The Detailer is responsible for assisting the Body Shop staff to ensure our customers receive excellent service. This individual takes care of vehicles in the when the vehicle is not actively being worked on by body shop technicians. The Detailer works under the direct supervision of the Body Shop Manager. Area of Responsibility: • Greet and welcome body shop customers in a genuinely friendly and courteous manner. Assist all customers promptly and professionally. • Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service. • Identify the Estimator with whom the customer has an appointment and notify that advisor. • Drive vehicles from the arrival lane to their proper place in the body shop parking lot. • Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as directed by the Estimator. • Review repairs before delivering vehicle to customer to ensure quality of work. Bring any issues with the work performed to the attention of your supervisor. • Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner. Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Assist the Receptionist with incoming telephone calls when necessary, answering in a professional and prompt manner. • Assist the Estimator in contacting customers with appointments one day prior to their appointments. • Perform various clerical tasks as assigned by body shop management. • Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or customers. • Maintain a valid local area driver’s license and immediately inform management of any changes in its status. • Other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions. • Physical Demands: Standing, walking over 2/3 of the time, sitting to 1/3 of time, kneeling/crouching to 2/3 of time, reaching with hands and arms to 2/3 of time, talking or hearing over 2/3 of time, driving vehicle to 1/3 of time, move, transport or place up to 2/3 of time up to 50 pounds. • Working Conditions: Exposure to loud noise, outdoor weather conditions and automotive repair fumes.
