Description
If you were a Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse or other hourly paid healthcare worker and did not get off-duty meal breaks or off-duty rest breaks you have a claim under the California Labor Code. If you had to remain on site, or keep a phone, pager, or radio on on during breaks, you may have a claim for back wages.
If you were contacted on your personal phone during off duty hours or had to use your own cell phone without reimbursement from your employer, you also may be owed significant back wages and penalties under the California Labor Code.
