Repair Station Welder (La Verne, CA) A well-positioned and established company looking to hire a Welder with experience and also mechanical capacity and with hand tools in our La Verne, CA plant. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to; Aluminum Tig Welding • Be able weld parts in fixture with units and their operation • Disassemble, inspect and assemble Fabrication units • Apply knowledge in a practical manner using detailed procedures • General knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of their job duties and the ability to apply that knowledge to their assignments • Recognize and correct inaccuracies and simple issues • Must perform other tasks as assigned by Production Manager Required Qualification; • Must be proficient to read and write in English with some Spanish a plus • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to details • Must have basic math skills Also helpful but not required; • Knowledge of precision measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, thread, height and depth gauges) • Knowledge of blueprint reading and mathematics • Knowledge of basic computer skills • Capacity to combine and apply separate elements of knowledge in a logical and comprehensive manner The best person for this position is; • Good self-starter • Quick study on-the-job • Good sense of self awareness • Strong problem solver with good conflict resolution skills • Good at time management and planning skills • Ability to communicate and motivate Education; Higher education is not required.
