Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Responsible for pre-inspecting and safely operating a standard forklift. • Inspect equipment to be loaded to ensure safety while unloading, which includes chalking wheels. • Load finished goods on flatbeds and in vans ensuring the customer receives timely, accurate and damage-free product. • Responsible for accurately pre-staging mixed loads of various products. • Ensure product freshness by using a FIFO system when loading and cut in product as necessary. • Unload incoming containers. • Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory: A) Perform cycle counts; B) Perform physical inventory; C) Accurately fill out paperwork and partial tags. • Stack finished goods pallets accurately and in an organized manner. • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment including acknowledgement and safety around pedestrian traffic. • Responsible for maintaining a neat working environment. Cleaning warehouse and vehicles. • Ensure pallets and products are clean. Ensure accurate count on pallet tag. • Shrink wrap pallets. • Able to read pick slip to pull products. • Drive company vehicle to deliver product (back up). • Sweep/mop and generally clean all areas of the warehouse.
