SUMMARY: ATHENA Consulting is an award-winning staffing firm serving state and local governments. We are currently recruiting for a Maids and Housekeeping Cleaners or one of our clients located in Stark, FL. This 40 hour per week position pays $11.00 per hour and requires a pre-employment criminal background check. RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION: • Varies/Days/Weekends/Holidays 8am- up to 5:30pm • Requires 1 year experience of making beds and cleaning in a HOTEL/RESORT/DOMESTIC setting. • A valid Florida Drivers License. Must be able to stand, bend, reach for long periods of time and lift up to 25lbs. • Experience working with cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment. Must be able to work Holidays,weekends, and in inclement weather. • Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts. • Must be able to stand, bend reach for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met. • Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas. • Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items. • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. • Dust and polish furniture and equipment. • Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines. • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers. • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary. • Hang draperies and dust window blinds. • Disinfect equipment and supplies using germicides or steam-operated equipment. • Move and arrange furniture and mattresses; wash dishes and clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware. • Remove debris from driveways and garages; purchase or order groceries and keep household supplies stocked and record expenditures; run errands, such as taking laundry to the cleaners. • Requests repair services and wait for repair workers to arrive; observe precautions required to protect guest property and report all damage, theft, and found articles to supervisor.
