Eastside Church is offering food vouchers for families who need a meal. In partnership with Eastside Church, the Foundation is offering food vouchers to families in need. If you are experiencing food insecurity and would like to enjoy a hot dinner from this week’s local food truck selection, please complete the registration to receive a free meal voucher. Bring your printed or electronic registration with you for confirmation. If you are a local family wanting to support community and small businesses, we encourage you to join your neighbors for this great dine-out option. Again, this offering is for our local families struggling with food insecurity. Please keep this in mind when deciding to register or not. Resources are limited but if your family is hungry please register and come by. Grab-n-Go Food Truck Dinners at Eastside The People's Burger February 3, 2021 4:00 - 7:00pm This week we are hosting The People's Burger at our Food Truck Grab-N-Go Dinners! Why are we hosting food trucks at Eastside? To build community (A food truck dinner allows us to gather with church family and meet our neighbors), to support small business (Hosting food trucks gives owners hope and business opportunities during a difficult season), and to address food insecurity (We are distributing meal vouchers to local school districts and non-profit organizations). Vouchers enable families to enjoy a meal and return a sense of dignity by taking them from the food bank line to the food truck line. Northshore Schools Foundation is a local 501 (c)(3) local non-profit, charity that serves students, and teachers in the Northshore School District located in the communities of Bothell, Kenmore, Woodinville. They were voted best local non-profit in the Best of Northshore two years in a row are a Gold Participant on Guidestar, and have received the Top Rated award from Great Non-Profits. They are best known for enriching the educational experience for students, supporting teachers, and making a meaningful contribution to public education and the community. The Foundation has granted over $2.7 million dollars to our schools, funding programs, and resources that benefit every student nearly every day during their school career.
