Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra with The Strictly Hip 2021 Summer Concert Series ALL AGES Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra with The Strictly Hip performing live on our stage at Batavia Downs Gaming & Hotel! The Strictly Hip and the BPO have teamed up several times before to celebrate the legacy of the Tragically Hip, the legendary Canadian band that defined rock for a generation. The BPO provides a resident, professional, major symphony orchestra of artistic excellence and integrity to enrich the quality of life in Western New York through the presentation of live symphonic music and other musical events that educate and entertain the broadest possible audiences within and beyond the Western New York region. Since 1995, The Strictly Hip have been spreading the good word of The Tragically Hip's music far and wide. They’ve taken an almost academic and studious approach to performing the music of one of Canada's most popular bands. The music of The Tragically Hip is presented with reverence, respect and accuracy. The special performance will take place at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5 p.m. Tickets will go on sale 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, on bataviaconcerts.com, and will range from $20 to $75. Due to limited capacity, a limit of four tickets purchased per person will be enforced. Batavia Downs will not require a negative COVID-19 test, nor vaccination to enter the concert. All pairs of seats in the VIP and premium sections will have chairs provided and be arranged as per CDC regulations. Those who purchase tickets in the lawn section are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs or rent one for $5. Limited rental chairs are available.
