Description

Join your friends and neighbors for a free outdoor movie screening! The Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) and the State University of New York (SUNY) are proud to present the return of the Bites Camera Action free outdoor summer movie series, kicking off June 18 and running for six consecutive Friday evenings through July 23. This year’s series will take place on the lawn at the H. Carl McCall SUNY Building, the iconic former D&H Railroad Headquarters building at 353 Broadway in downtown Albany. Join us on July 2 for a special 25th anniversary screening of the 1996 hit film Independence Day. Seating for the event will open at 7:30, with the movie beginning at dusk or approximately 8:30 PM. In compliance with current New York State COVID-19 safety regulations, attendance at the event will be strictly limited based on social distancing guidelines. You will have the option of reserving a space sized for a 3-4-person family unit or a 1-2 person individual or couple. Masks will be required onsite when attendees are not in their socially-distanced pod areas. Announcements regarding event postponements for inclement weather will be made via the Downtown Albany BID social media channels, as well as on downtownalbany.org/bca. You will also receive an email update if the event is being postponed. If you reserve your space but are unable to attend, please plan to refund your ticket so that your space can be made available to others. If all spaces are reserved, you may sign up for the waiting list to be alerted if spots open up. Bites are available from a wide variety of nearby restaurants. Visit www.downtownalbany.org/supportdowntown for restaurant information. Free parking is available at the Green-Hudson Garage, the Riverfront Garage, or on the street after 5:00 PM. Visit www.parkalbany.com for more information. Bites Camera Action is presented by the Downtown Albany BID and SUNY, in partnership with the City of Albany, Christ's Church Albany, the Palace Theatre, and ParkAlbany.
