Grace Engineering Camp: Camp 1, July 19-23 Does your middle schooler enjoy hands-on experiences, solving unique problems, or learning about new ideas? If so, the Grace Engineering Camp is made just for them! Your student will have the opportunity to learn the basics of mechanical engineering by exploring computer-aided design (CAD), 3D printing, CO2 drag racing, and robotics. Dr. Fred Wentorf, Chair of the Grace College Engineering Department and creator of the Grace Engineering Camp, will walk your student through the design, creation, and testing of their own CO2 dragster. The week will culminate with an exciting dragster race as students learn about the fascinating laws of aerodynamics by racing their own creations. Grace Engineering Camp is open to any students entering sixth through eighth grade. This day camp is held on Grace College campus at East Hall, 907 Wooster Rd. July 19-23 from 8 AM till 5 PM. The cost per student is $350, which includes lunch and engineering supplies. Need-based scholarships are available. There is a limited number of spots for campers; therefore, prompt registration is encouraged. This one-of-a-kind day camp is designed to spark student’s interest in STEM and engineering related fields as they explore these intriguing areas of study.
