Sundance Power Pole Inspections (Sundance PPI) performs detailed inspections of rural transmission and distribution utility poles to evaluate their structural strength, determine levels of decay and insect damage, report needed repairs in order to prolong service life, and overall enhance utility system integrity resulting in the protection of utility company personnel and the public. Sundance PPI believes that in order to provide high quality services our inspectors must be thoroughly trained to perform job duties safely, correctly, and efficiently. Our commitment to employee development provides on-the-job field instruction conducted by highly experienced and skilled Lead and Senior Inspectors. Inspector Trainees actively participate in the day-to-day work program with field crew. The length of training depends upon the service and/or the individual. Training sites vary geographically throughout a ten-state region. When a newly appointed inspector is given specific job responsibilities, he or she is assigned company owned inspection equipment, specialized tools, and safety equipment required to perform the work. Typical Inspection Conditions, Job Duties, and Responsibilities Include: • Extensive exposure to the outdoor elements in all seasons of weather with the desire to actively participate in physically demanding work • Efficiently and reliably completing deadlines • Completing a plan to perform obligations of a specific utility service contract • Completing and accurately managing field data • Consistently following and practicing crew safety, quality, and production standards • Assume responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of company property, equipment, and tools • Ability to take direction or assistance in solving field problems and reviewing procedures • Accept evaluations for personnel development and crew performance • Maintaining excellent working relationships with customer representatives • Be able to positively represent Sundance PPI to the communities in which inspectors work • Possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and the ability to travel to locations throughout the States of Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah to perform contracted inspection work • Compensation & Benefit Packages Include: o Competitive wages paid bi-weekly o Expense reimbursement o Aflac o Flex time o Excellent growth potential o Paid on-the-job training -- you earn while you learn!
