If so, join the NBMBAA DFW Chapter and Black Sports Professionals North Texas as we host PGA executives to learn about the game, job opportunities and the business behind the sport. Our astute panelists represent both award-winning PGA golfers and executives. Select members will have the opportunity to tour the Cedar Crest Golf Course and participate in a golfing demonstration. Capacity is limited. Social distancing will be enforced and a mask must be worn during the event. SPEAKERS Scooter ClarkDirector of PGA WORKS, PGAScooter Clark, is the PGA Director PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship. Since 2018, Scooter Clark, PGA has managed the strategic and day-to-day operations and execution of the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship (PWCC), “The Most Culturally Significant Championship in Collegiate Golf." Clark’s involvement with the PWCC dates to his playing days. He participated in the inaugural Championship in 1987 for Southern University, and three more times after transferring to the University of Maryland. From 2010-2016, Clark served as Director of Intercollegiate Golf at Bethune-Cookman University. His men’s and women’s teams combined to win 10 PWCC Division I titles, the most in the history of the Championship. A PGA Professional since 2009, Clark also supported the Championship and its Career Expo while working for Titleist and FootJoy. Sandy CrossChief People Officer, PGASandy Cross, a member of the PGA of America staff since 1996, serves in the newly-created position of Chief People Officer. Cross leads the PGA’s initiatives regarding its most important asset—its people. From 2014-18, Cross was the Senior Director of Inclusion & Diversity, during which time she launched the Inclusion & Diversity Department. In her prior role as Director of Women’s and New Market Initiatives, she led the groundbreaking “Connecting with Her” strategic initiative to attract and retain women in the sport. Previously, Cross was the PGA’s Director of Business Development, where she secured and cultivated some of the PGA’s most coveted and longstanding commercial partnerships. Cross earned a Masters of Sport Administration from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the University of Buffalo, where she played NCAA Division I volleyball for four years. Ira MolayoDirector of Golf-Cedar CrestIra Molayo, PGA is the General Manager at Cedar Crest Golf Course in Dallas, Texas. Molayo’s golf management company, IAMJ Enterprises has managed Cedar Crest since 2008. Ira volunteers his time to his PGA section and served on the Northern Texas PGA Board of Directors as an At-Large Director from 2013 - 2018. In 2017 Molayo was inducted into the African American Golf Hall of Fame. A native of Dallas, Molayo graduated from Carter High School and attended Southern A&M University in Baton Rouge, LA, furthered his education at Amberton University. before attaining PGA membership in 2007. Ira has been a golf instructor for 20 years and has worked with golfers of all ages and skill levels. In 2018 Molayo founded the I AM a Golfer Foundation, a tax-exempt 501c3 organization. The Foundation’s purpose is to help bring about community renewal in South Dallas through golf and golf-related programs at Cedar Crest Golf Course. The National Black MBA Association leads in the creation of educational opportunities and economic growth for African-Americans. We serve to: • Provide innovative programs to stimulate their intellectual and economic growth • Build partnerships with key stakeholders who help facilitate this growth • Increase awareness and facilitate access to graduate education programs and career opportunities in management fields
