Symphonic Progressive Metal or Hard Rock Bassist & Drummer Wanted:
Meets
Kelso WA
Description
Guitarist and keyboardist with ochestral string samples, P.A., and an awesome sounding Marshall 1/2-stack guitar amp. Seeking serious, loud, punctual players who enjoy and have fun. *Where I live (industrial zone) we can legally play literally anytime day or night. 4:00AM if we choose. Need a skilled metal drummer, and melodic bassist who preferably is schooled and knows about playing 3rds, 5ths, and the bass defining the chords. It's not about playing as many notes as possible, it's about being the foundation part of the harmony (chords). There would be times when the bass plays one note and the guitar chords change over it. And other times where the bass changes notes over one guitar chord, arpeggio, or riff, defining new chords with every note. There is room for fill-in quick liitle riffs or melodies, but definitely not looking for constant nonstop noodling. Much of my composition is done on piano keyboard, and being aware of those compositional options when collaborating from guitar. On keyboard, or thinking comprehensively, I can compose the bass and guitar simultaneously as one chord structure. Also emphasizing variation of all three elements of music. Keeping continuity, not just different parts without relation to each other or method to the composition as a whole. I want to collab writing perfectly refined music, not setting ideas in stone until the songs are perfect. If you're not schooled, but have a willing to learn attitude, I won't charge you for free music lessons as we go. *Ideally, I would like to play at least 3x per week, preferably 4x. Rehearsing 1x per week is mediocre and stuck in a ditch. I want us to sound impressive, make progress, and have an edge over the masses of standard once a weekers. This is for a serious bassist, and a serious drummer, who want to succeed and who are willing to sacrifice if neccessary. Having a family and a day job does not somehow inherently exclude musicians from being fully-committed to success. Successful or famous musicians are not unemployed loners. They choose supportive families, employers, friends, neighbors, teachers, community, etc. Will later recruit a full-time keyboardist/rhythm guitarist, and a melodic and charismatic front man/woman lead singer. Ready to get to work? Or would you rather drudge through a drab do-nothing life? You get out what you put into it. It's up to YOU! 👊👩✊ The clock is ticking...
