Juneteenth Pop Up Celebration - Vendors Wanted!
Sensationz By Renee and Tiny Tub Bath Teas welcome you to join us in celebrating our freedom and progression after the release of our ancestors leading to Juneteenth!
On this day we will celebrate black and brown excellence by supporting each other and enjoying ourselves! The festivities will include live music, food, and local vendors from 12-5pm on Saturday, June 19th!
Remember, by supporting a small business, you are supporting your local community. 😊
Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated in commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, a Union General rode into Galveston, Texas to announce that the Civil War had ended, and slaves had been freed. It took over 2 and a half years for Texan slaves to learn of their freedom, which was after President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation, signed in 1863. As the years go by, we must take the time to reflect and educate ourselves as well as others on the major significance of Juneteenth in American history.
So, let’s come together and support black-owned businesses, celebrate freedom, and use our voices to spread love!
