Rob Wallace Park - Fishing Focus
Rob Wallace Park (RWP) is a 143-acre natural habitat with trails, a playground, and a fishing pond. CWA will focus on the fishing, but participants are welcome to walk the trails on their own. A RWP Senior Ranger (self-proclaiming fishing expert) will be on hand at the fishing dock to provide some background information and instruction (safety, park info, fishing tips) at 9:30 and 10:30 am. Drop in fishing times from 9 am until 11:30 am.
Loaner rods will be available but please bring your own if you have one. Live bait (worms) and some artificial bait will also be provided. The number of participants is limited to control crowd size. Registration is required but there is no fee to attend.
Concord Wildlife Alliance is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) chapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation (NCWF) - a community based organization established for the purposes of environmental education, appreciation of wildlife and natural history, and conservation of wildlife habitat and natural resources.
