Bayview Hunter's Point Community! Join us for a fun-filled day of kayaking at Jackrabbit Beach and environmental stewardship.
Literacy for Environmental Justice, BMagic, and Parks RX are hosting a kayaking event to support good health and earth stewardship. All ages welcome!
Besides kayaking, painting at the park will also be available for folks not comfortable on water.
Schedule/Itinerary for the day:
9:00-9:15 Registration, Covid-19 Health Screening Questionnaire
9:15 Opening Circle and Intro to Community Partners
9:30 Paddle talk with Ted Choi of City Kayak
10:00-11:00 Breakout 1
Two Group Sessions: Kayaking (6 participants each session) and painting at the park
11:00-12 Break out 2
Due to Covid-19, we are limiting this event to 15 participants and each participant must register through Eventbrite or by contacting Alex @ [email protected] and confirming reservation. Face coverings and social distancing are required.
Participants must fill out Kayaking waivers. Participants under 18 must have parents fill out youth waiver beforehand. Both youth and adult waivers are attached below.
