WAYLAND, MA — A majority of Wayland residents have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus, and an even higher amount have received at least one dose, according to Wayland Health Department data released this week.
About 65 percent of the town over age 12, about 8,548 people, have been fully vaccinated. Close to 2,000 more have received at least one dose, according to the data.
Coronavirus vaccines were difficult to get earlier in the year, but have become more widely available since the beginning of May. However, only one version of the vaccine, Pfizer, is available for people as young as 12.
