CBS Miami June 1, 2021 Nearly a dozen migrants were detained after coming ashore in Pompano Beach. The Broward Sheriff's Office said just before 11 a.m., deputies and marine units were sent to Hillsboro Inlet Marina after reports of a boat carrying migrants coming ashore in the 2700 block of North Riverside Drive. A total of 11 migrants, including at least one child, were detained.
