PATCHOGUE, NY — A Patchogue man sexually abused three young girls at his home while they were in the care of his child care provider wife, Suffolk County police said on Wednesday. Angel Tacuri, 52, abused the girls several times between 2010 and 2015 when they were between 3 and 8 years old, according to Special Victims Section detectives. It was not clear if the location was licensed by the state. The children came forward after Tacuri was arrested in January after police said he sexually abused a 7-year-old girl in 2010, police said. Tacuri was charged with two felony counts of first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child and one count of first-degree sexual abuse. He was also charged with three misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The investigation is continuing, police said. Anyone who believes they may be a victim should contact Special Victims Section at 631-852-6531, or to call 911. Tacuri will be held overnight at the 7th Precinct for arraignment Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip. If convicted on the top charge, he faces up to 25 years in prison.
