MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead residents and visitors can expect a slow go of it on the roads in the area of Front Street starting early Thursday morning.
The Department of Public Works said road work will begin at 7 a.m. on Front Street from Selman to Franklin, Summer Street to Pleasant, and Prospect to Washington by Village Pizza.
The work, which is weather permitting, is expected to cause delays.
"To facilitation the construction all vehicles must be off the road," Marblehead DPW said.
Restrictions will be posted.
"We realize this work presents an inconvenience to the town residents," the DPW said. "However, it is temporary and necessary."
