An in-depth personalized class learning the core fundamentals and techniques used in TIG and MIG welding. Description: This class will specialize in proper TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding procedures. This class is great for beginners, advanced welders/fabricators, or for those that just have an interest and is designed to get people comfortable with the most common welding joints and procedures, machine settings, and dialing in distance, angle, speed, and heat. A student can expect to be educated on what type of machine suits different fabricators based on price points, materials planning to use and applications. Instruction time will cover welding processes and how they correlate, polaritys, shielding gases, and different alloys.  Expect to spend four hours of your day in shop: 15 minutes of instruction time3 ½ hours of hands- on learningOptional 15 minute breakThe limited four-person class will allow for focused time on each individual to address questions and concerns. Welding helmets and safety glasses will be provided. COVID-19 Precautions: All equipment are cleaned and sanitized following CDC and MDH guidelines. Maintain a 3-6’ distance from other students.Wear a mask unless you have been fully vaccinated (documentation may be requested).Bring your own gloves.Other Important Info: Due to the limited size of this class, there will be no refunds. About the Instructor: George Hindley is a local professional fabricator/artist based out of SE Minneapolis.
