Danvers Kicks Off Pride Celebration Month Thursday Afternoon

DANVERS, MA — Danvers will begin its Pride Month celebrations on Thursday with a pair of events at the police station and Town Hall. The Human Rights & Inclusion Committee will begin its eighth annual recognition of LGBTQ+ pride in the town with a 4:30 flag-raising at the police station on Ash Street. A half-hour later, the committee will do the same on the lawn at Town Hall on Sylvan Street along with a short ceremony. The public is invited to both events. On Saturday, Kaffmandu Coffee House on Maple Street will have a Pride program from 9 a.m. to noon where residents can pick up Pride flags, stickers and enter to win a Pride Prize Pack, with donations going to the Danvers High School Students United For Acceptance. Those attending can be included on the Human Rights & Inclusion Committee's website by using the hashtags #DanversPride and #ActivelyAnAlly. There will be additional events all month long.
