Apply here: Position: Installer Reports to: Warehouse Manager Employee Status: Seasonal, hourly, Non-Exempt Job Summary Encore Events Rentals is a local, family-owned event rental company with locations in Sonoma and Napa Counties. Encore specializes in event rentals of tables, chairs, tents, dinnerware and furniture throughout the Wine Country and greater Bay Area. The Installer is a key role within the Encore Events delivery team. This position assists the delivery driver with loading, unloading, counting, setting up and breaking down rental equipment both onsite with clients and at the warehouse. They actively participate to make sure orders are delivered successfully including equipment preparation, accurate product count, safe loading, on time delivery and execution. They also work closely with the driver to ensure all safe driving practices, including parking, as maintained. Responsibilities and Duties General • On time for scheduled shift in Encore Events Rentals uniform and prepared for the day • Follow safety practices, on the road and while loading and unloading trucks at the warehouse and job site • Assist the driver with loading, unloading and setting up of rental equipment • Assist driver with daily truck inspection • Ensure all equipment needed for delivery and pick up are loaded in the trucks, including hand trucks, jacks, ladders, and cleaning supplies • Assist driver with delivery and pick up communication and preparation needs, including calling clients in advance of arrival and reviewing paperwork for the next delivery or pickup • Set up and install rental equipment as instructed by lead delivery driver when onsite for delivery and pick ups • Learn and maintain product knowledge of rental equipment including tables, chairs, dance floor, stage, kitchen equipment, screens, lounge furniture, heaters, linen, warewash items and more • Test rental equipment while onsite, to ensure it is functioning correctly • Assist driver by spotting for the truck to ensure there is clearance for the truck, especially when around cables, trees, poles and buildings • Maintain positive working relationship with drivers, co-workers and management through strong communication and team approach • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and company supplied tools • Report to warehouse manager upon return from deliveries to complete tasks needed at the warehouse Qualifications and Skills • At least 18 years of age • A High School diploma or equivalent • Basic math skills required • Strong attention to detail • Positive, team approach • Ability to take on follow directions and complete tasks • Ability to share and exchange information with others • Required to stand, walk, bend, pull and lift for extended periods of time • Required to lift 25-50 pounds consistently, occasionally up to 75 pounds • Encore Events Rentals is open 7 days a week, 40+ hours a week and weekends are required - Must be flexible to adjust schedule based on company requirements as needed • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job All applicants are require to pass a background check and pre-employment drug and physical test.
