Free Event - Kayaks provided. Come paddle with ERM staff at Snook Island Natural Area and learn about this restored and created wetland. Free Event -  Come paddle with ERM staff at Snook Island Natural Area.  Join us to learn about this restored and created wetland. You might get a peek of the wildlife that call this area home, like the American Oystercatcher or Green Sea Turtle. This 118-acre wetland restoration project created 11 acres of mangroves and 2 acres of oyster reefs within the Lake Worth Lagoon along the shoreline in downtown Lake Worth. Public use facilities include a boardwalk, kayak launch, and floating dock. Bring you mask, appropriate clothing, water and a dry bag. Restrooms available at Bryant Park.  We will meet along the shoreline of Lake Worth Lagoon at the south end of Bryant Park at the Bryant Park Pier shoreline. Details/What to bring: Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty/wet.Bring water sun protection and bug sprayBring water and a water bottle.Masks are not required for fully vaccinated kayakers (2 weeks after 2nd shot, or 2 weeks after J&J shot) and are required for unvaccinated when unable to maintain social distancing. Masks can be taken off during the kayak trip itself. Be prepared for a fun, wet outdoor activity. Don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen, a dry bag and comfortable, appropriate clothing that will get wet. Restrooms are available at Bryant Park.
