FREDRICKSBURG, VA — A senior alert was issued for a 78-year-old man from Stafford County who was last seen on Tuesday evening, police said. A senior alert was issued for the man, Joseph Jackson. Authorities with Virginia State Police and the Stafford County Sheriff's Office are searching for Jackson. They have also requested assistance from the public in locating him. The Stafford County Sheriff's Office reported that Jackson was last seen at his home in Stafford around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1. The sheriff's office described Jackson as a white male with white hair and blue eyes. He is about six feet tall and weighs approximately 215 pounds, according to the alert issued by authorities. Jackson may be wearing a red windbreaker, police said. Jackson may be in a silver 2016 Jeep Cherokee, authorities explained. The vehicle has a custom license plate that says "SHOELSS." H "The missing senior suffers from a cognitive impairment," Virginia State Police said in the senior alert. "The disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety."
