We are seeking a Meat Cutter in our Tacoma, WA location Summary Responsible for properly cutting various kinds of meat for food service and retail sales and ensuring maximum use of product. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Duties include but not limited to: • Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times. • Properly grade product and assign to accounts. • Sanitize work area and equipment before and after cutting. • Survey all equipment to assure proper working order. • Handle product properly to ensure maximum shelf life. • Properly store excess product. • Finish all orders in a timely manner. • Inform supervisor of any changes or problems. • Follow USDA/HACCP guidelines. • Clean-up work station and department. • Communicate quality issues to supervisors and merchandising. • Weigh and tag product for order. • Help pack meat orders. • Able to fill out and complete USDA/HACCP forms daily. • Perform other duties, as assigned. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job. A. Education and Experience Required: • High school diploma or GED. • Three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: • AS400 Experience • Able to portion control cutting with pork, lamb, beef and poultry Total Compensation At Pacific Seafood, your base wage is only a portion of your overall compensation package.
