CATONSVILLE, MD — Nikitha C. Mupparaju, a student at Catonsville High School, has been awarded a National Merit Scholarship from the University of Florida. Mupparaju intends to study dentistry. This is the third batch of National Merit scholarships in 2021. NMSC named recipients of corporate-sponsored awards April 21 and winners of National Merit $2,500sScholarships May 12. Additional recipients of college-sponsored awards will be announced on July 12. By the end of this year's competition, approximately 7,500 academic champions will have won National Merit Scholarships worth approximately $30 million.
