Man Hopes Huge Truck Poster, $20K Reward Will Help Find Lost Dog

SAN ANTONIO, TX — Rewards for lost dogs are common sightings on posters in neighborhoods across the United States. People looking for their pooches will sometimes offer $50, $100 — or maybe even $200 — to find their beloved pet. The quest to find Golani, Roi Biton's lost service dog, has gone far beyond — taking up no ordinary poster space and certainly no ordinary reward. Biton has been driving a 26-foot trailer with a poster of the lost dog throughout San Antonio for the past couple of months, KENS reported. He parks it in random areas, hoping someone will recognize Golani. The gigantic poster is coupled with a heightened monetary reward to bring him home: $20,000. KENS reported that Biton is offering the substantial reward money, which is about equal to how much he has spent on trying to find him since he was lost in November. "I will do anything. I will pay anything. I will do anything in this world to get him back," Biton told KENS. Biton said he was with Golani and his other dog on Jones-Matsberger Road near Highway 281. The dogs began chasing another animal, and only the other dog returned, he said. Golani had become an emotional support animal for Biton, who served in Israeli Special Forces. The dog was named after the unit he served in and helped him cope with post-traumatic stress disorder, KENS reported. "The size of the sign doesn't even reflect the ounce of the size of my love to him," Biton told the news station. "I know it's mutual. I cannot stop thinking about him on the other side, wanting to go back home."
