Press release from City of Round Rock: June 1, 2021 The Round Rock Public Library welcomes visitors from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Among other service changes are: Please email [email protected] to schedule an appointment to drop off your donation. Virtual programming will continue with limited in-person programming. The Library's curbside pickup service, located in the Sheppard Street parking lot, is available Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Here's how it works: Please note: Curbside service will end on June 12. Use the new hold lockers! Please see our FAQ on how to use the hold lockers. Library will notify patrons by text or email that their holds (up to 5 items) are available to pick up. Patrons will have 7 days from receiving the notification to use curbside to pick-up items. Use the link found in your email or text notification to schedule your day to pick-up. This form can be filled out anytime up to 9 a.m. the morning of pick up. Enter the Sheppard Street parking lot and pull up to a staff member. Remain in the vehicle and roll down the passenger-side window to tell staff members your full name. Items will already be checked out. Staff will retrieve items and take them to your vehicle. What are some ways to slow the spread of COVID-19? The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Learn how COVID-19 spreads and practice these actions to help prevent the spread of this illness. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19: Get a COVID-19 vaccine when it's available to you. Wear a mask to protect yourself and others and stop the spread of COVID-19. Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arm lengths) from others who don't live with you. Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces. The more people you are in contact with, the more likely you are to be exposed to COVID-19. Clean your hands often, either with soap and water for 20 seconds or a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces daily. Stay home if you are sick or have symptoms. Monitor your health daily. Can you get COVID-19 from books, DVDs or other library materials? In a recent update, the CDC noted that the virus spreads easily between people, but it does not spread easily from touching surfaces. The CDC advises that the best way to protect yourself—and others—is to maintain a distance of six feet, wash your hands often, and wear a mask in public. Learn more here.
