PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton is celebrating the local LGBTQIA+ community with music, art and activities this Saturday with Pride Picnic.
On June 5 at 5 p.m., residents are invited to gather in the Princeton Family YMCA's expansive field to enjoy music from DJ Linda Leigh. They can also participate in making a collaborative community mural, and take part in a variety of activities.
The Princeton Community Pride Picnic is a free event and a community collaboration between the Princeton Public Library, Princeton Family YMCA, Arts Council of Princeton, HiTOPS, Princeton Civil Rights Commission, Corner House Behavioral Health and McCarter Theatre Center.
Families are welcome to bring a picnic. There will also be local food trucks and vendors. Rain date is June 11.
Mayor Mark Freda and other leaders will be in attendance. Local nonprofits will have tables with activities and information for attendees.
