Polishing & Finishing Operators $16-$20 DOE Location: Temecula, CA 1st Shift: $16.00 Hour, Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM 2nd Shift: $20.00 Hour. Monday-Thursday 2:15pm -12:45am Duration Long Term, possible Temp to Hire Duties and Responsibilities: Operates polishing equipment to obtain desired polish and luster on parts and products. Selects wheels, dressing, and abrasives best suited for type of job. Applies and manipulates work to wheels exercising proper pressure and duration to polish and buff using care to maintain contour, relationship, and dimensions.Knowledge of all Polishing Levels as well as the following:Loads and adjusts work pieces onto equipment, or work tables, using hand tools when needed. Remove completed work pieces from equipment or work tables, using hand tools, and place work pieces in containers.Select abrasives and or polishing compounds, according to materials, sizes and shapes of work pieces, amount of stock to be removed, finishes specified, and steps in finishing.Affix faucets to racks and dip in a series of tanks to achieve various desired colors. Hand finish products by rubbing them with a scouring pad in order to achieve a certain color or finish, such as an antique or distressed look.Meticulous attention to detail, and pride in hand finishing products required.
