Press release from the Sedgwick County Government: Akeam Ashford June 1, 2021 For Immediate Release June 1, 2021 CONTACT Akeam Ashford 316-660-9370 Covid-19 Vaccines will be available at Riverfest (Sedgwick County, Kan.) - The Sedgwick County Health Department (SCHD) is excited to partner with Riverfest 2021 to offer no-cost COVID-19 vaccines June 4-5, 2021 at the community vaccine clinic, 223 S. Main. No appointment necessary. Hours of clinic operation during Riverfest will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, June 4 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 5. The clinic will offer Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson (J&J) vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine is available to people age 12 and older; the Johnson and Johnson vaccine is available to people age 18 or older. In addition to the main clinic, SCHD offers mobile and partner clinics around the county. Mobile Clinics are offered by SCHD staff and continue to be open on a first come, first serve (walk-in) basis. No appointment necessary. Main St., Cheney Tuesday, June 8, 2 to 6 p.m. – Riverview Baptist Church, 844 W. 53rd St. N., Wichita Wednesday, June 9, 2 to 4 p.m. – Clearwater Senior Center, 921 E. County Pledge: As more vaccine is received, the Sedgwick County Health Department will vaccinate more people while following guidance from CDC, KDHE, and Sedgwick County Health Officer Dr. Garold Minns. The vaccination schedule is designed to assure that all who want to be vaccinated will have that opportunity. The implementation of the vaccination schedule is dependent on the manufacturing and distribution schedule from vaccine providers. The County will not schedule more appointments than the vaccine available.
