Wonderspaces Austin Adds Four Interactive Installations In June

AUSTIN, TX — Wonderspaces Austin, a permanent, interactive art exhibit, has announced the addition of four new art installations in June. The 28,000 square-foot space at 1205 Sheldon Cove announced it would be adding four new installations since opening its location in Austin last summer. The installations include Into the Breath by Stefano Ogliari Badessi, Transition by Joost Jordens & Mike Von Rotz, Sweet Spot by Shawn Causey & Mark Daniell and A Mind Sang by Vier Nev. Apart from the new artwork, the venue has launched a curated bar program with cocktails, beer, and wine, featuring all Austin and Texas-specific products. Officials said it was important to offer a bar program to complement the art featured, elevating the experience for visitors 21 and up and for younger guests, as well, with non-alcoholic options. "Since opening our year-round, permanent art show last summer, our goal has been to present a safe and welcoming destination for extraordinary creativity," said Wonderspaces Co-Founder Jason Shin. "Introducing our bar and beginning regular artwork rotations are examples of how we're going to continue to elevate the experience for years to come." Wonderspaces Austin features artwork from world-renowned artists, which rotate regularly. Among its 13 installations, including the four new artworks, visitors like Submergence by Squidsoup, Body Paint by Memo Akten, and Hoshi by NONOTAK Studio, officials said. Since opening in July, Wonderspaces Austin has safely welcomed over 100,000 socially distanced visitors, despite keeping occupancy under 25 percent. Tickets for Wonderspaces Austin are $25 for ages 13 and up, $15 for children ages 3 to 12 and free for children under 3. Tickets for students, seniors, and military members are available for $20.
