The Travis County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide in the 500-block of E. Howard Lane. At 11:39 a.m. on May 31, 2021, a 911 caller reported a man stabbed someone and was threatening a second person.
Deputies arrived at the scene minutes later and located the suspect, who immediately surrendered and was taken into custody without incident. About the same time, deputies found an adult male deceased in a building behind a home. The suspect was then transported by Austin-Travis County EMS to a local hospital for treatment.Detectives believe the suspect was known to the decedent. There is no danger to the public.
