After a story that initially went viral earlier this week, it was determined that Zack Williams' message in a bottle, allegedly sent from the ocean in Myrtle Beach in 1987, was actually placed in a canal in Florida recently, by Williams' son, who backdated the note inside. (WBTW)Nineteen kids lost track of their parents over the Memorial Day weekend on area beaches, prompting the Myrtle Beach Police Department to tell parents to make specific plans for reuniting, in case families get separated during beach time. Thankfully, all 19 children were reconnected with their families without any incidents. (WBTW) The Myrtle Beach Planning Commission has approved three new subdivisions. Dozens of homes will be built in these new neighborhoods. (WMBF) Chilly water temperature may be the cause of a delay in sea turtle nesting season along the Grand Strand.
