Press release from the Town of Davidson: Posted on: June 1, 2021 Posted on: June 1, 2021 CATS to Resume Route 290 Davidson Shuttle The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is making modified schedule changes beginning on Monday, June 7, 2021, and Davidson residents will once again be able to ride the 290 Davidson Shuttle. The route will include peak weekday shuttle service providing limited connections to Davidson Town Hall, Davidson College, and CATS Route 77x (access into Charlotte Uptown). Town of Davidson Mayor Rusty Knox notes, "the 290 Shuttle was a test initially, and as our residents became used to having it, it disappeared. Lobbying with CATS to bring the 290 back is a big win for our residents who not only rely on public transportation but also seek alternative means of moving around our town."
