I moved to LA from NYC a few months ago and I'm looking to collaborate and start a project/band with some locals. Semi-serious semi-not serious. I'm 37, I have a career, but I'm passionate about creating and I want to write and practice and play out. I play guitar and bass and can sing and write. I'd love to have some help writing, especially someone to help with lyrics. My influences are pretty wide: Tom Waits, Black Flag, At the Drive In/Mars Volta, Napalm Death, Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats, Patti Smith, Howlin Wolf. I've been trying to incorporate a bunch of ideas and styles to make kind of dark, swampy, doom-punk.
