Our Coco is gone, she died of cancer two days ago

What a beautiful Yorkie, she was 16 and a happy dog, even though she was deaf, blind in her left eye, and developed a slight limp in her right hind leg that became more noticeable on our morning walk. She wasn't able to sleep through the night she would wake up off and on and walk around house. We took her to the vet and after blood work and x-rays he told us she had cancer and that she may not be here for long. We took her home and did all that we could to comfort her. It was so hard to see her in pain and know that we would have to return to the vet to put her to sleep. At the vet I held her and talked to her knowing she couldn't hear me, he gave her the shot and she went peacefully to sleep and felt no pain. She was gone. The house is empty without Coco. Her water bowl, dinner dishes, treats, collar and leash are still out to see, just can't put them away. That old dog was some thing special. She was loved.
