Heyward Allen Automotive Dealership needs to hire a Used Car Porter to check in (Trade-ins and Purchase) Vehicles, perform parking lot, auction, and computer duties. We offer:Competitive pay plan based on experienceMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceLong term disability insurance401(k) PlanPaid vacation, holidays and sick daysChristmas and vacation savings clubEmployee discounts on vehicles, service and more!Career growth and advancement40 hours per week - Closed on SundaysFast-paced, professional and positive atmosphere Job Responsibilities:Check in (Trade-ins & Purchase) Vehicles:Verify accuracy of key tags & attach and register key fobsCreate “Worry-Free” Folder for each trade-in & purchase vehicle to include:Completed Trade Evaluation forms including trim level, equipment, mechanical & cosmetic issuesTake or verify that pictures are on V-Auto appraisalPrint Carfax & Recall History ReportCreate Worry Free File for Google DriveOne Owner Carfax & Sirius XM Stickers if applicableExtra Key tag if 2nd key not presentCopy of Repair Orders & Recall Repair OrdersWhen “Worry Free” Folder is complete, give it to Receptionist for filing and document scanning for Google Drive.Create inspection form for each vehicle, attach Recall History when there are open recallsMaintain “Vehicles Not Ready for Sale” report. Monitor Inspection & Detail Process, update comments and life cycle dates as items are needed & completed.Coordinate with Detail Manager for vehicles that need additional work including touch-up, body work, dent repair and interior repair.When work is completed, put vehicle in proper area on front line, with temporary Buyer’s Guide attachedOn vehicles that are somewhat “presentable”, but require more work, place “work needed” form on dashOn vehicles equipped with Satellite Radio, activate in demo mode, either by Sirius XM website or calling Sirius/XM when unable to activate by the websiteAttach Certified, Carfax One Owner & Sirius/XM Satellite stickers when applicable Parking Lot Duties:Verify that all vehicles that are awaiting service or detail work, that do not have a Buyer’s Guide, have a yellow “Not for Sale” stickerVerify that all vehicles parked in the retail display area have a permanent or temporary Buyer’s Guide & Spanish Buyer’s Guide.Verify accuracy of window labels for accuracy including Stock #, Trim Level, Equipment and MileageMake sure all vehicles are parked straight, in the appropriate area, and lockedMake sure all vehicles have at least a ¼ tank of gas – always check gas gauge whenever you move a vehicle.Maintain a vehicle log at sales desk for the sales staff to note vehicles with issues, such as dead batteries, additional clean-up needed, odor, etc. Be sure the work gets done & check it off the listRotate vehicles between the regular display area and the front lawn weeklyBe aware of all vehicles that are parked in the “sold lot”, detail area and service area. Make sure that vehicles are not “lost” and forgotten in these areas. Park all vehicles that are ready for sale out front. Auction Duties:Make sure all vehicles that are going to the Athens Auto Auction are parked in the designated area.Pull the keys for auction vehicles as needed – mark the white key fob tags & cut the key locks off prior to sending to the auction. Store key fobs in UC Manager’s office.On vehicles going to Manheim Atlanta Auction, pull keys as well, also remove all window stickers, drive-out tags, and clean vehicles as needed. Mark side glass with Auction Dealer number.When vehicles not sold at the auction are returned, remove all window writing & stickers. On vehicles that are going back on the front line, put correct window labels & tags on the vehicles, clean up for front line. “Wholesale” vehicles should be parked in designated area. Verify that all vehicles have enough gas for demo purposes, and for those that are likely returning to the auction. Computer Duties:Learn & Use the following programs & websites:CDKDrive CentricV-AutoManheim.comAdesa.comCarfaxNSTA WebsiteSirius XM WebsiteCentral Dispatch WebsiteVerify accuracy of stock number using CDK/ADP, Vin Solutions and V-AutoCheck status of Repair Orders & reprint when necessaryNote comments on appraisal in V-Auto website for needed repairs & issuesPrint copies of Auction Invoices as neededList vehicles on Central Dispatch website as needed Key Machine Duties:Verify accuracy of stock numbers & programing on all keys before placing them in the key machine.Print key report the Wednesday after Athens Auto Auction sale and remove all extra keys to vehicles sold. Check list for possible extra keys for retail sold units as well. Remove sold keys & delete fobs from the key machine. Return key fobs to the receptionist.Make sure all primary key sets “1 of 1” have only one key set on fob – make extra key tag/fob for extra key sets and add to the key machine. Always check vehicles that have just been inspected as many will have keys programmed as a part of the inspection process Qualifications:Automotive experience is preferred, but not requiredEnergetic with good customer services skillsValid driver’s license and good driving recordMust pass pre-employment drug test, background check and MVR.Upload resume and complete assessment for immediate consideration.
